Buckwheat honey has inherent healing properties due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This helps assist in wound-closing and stimulates the healing process. SanMelix Laboratories then fortifies the honey with their own microbial enhancements to create a barrier to prevent bacteria from entering the wound.
SanMelix Laboratories’ BEECure product line is currently in testing with the Air Force. In the future, they plan to release a variety of buckwheat honey-based products, including wound dressings, ointments, and small bandages. BEECure products can be used to aid in the treatment of many conditions, including:
